Engine Check

23 December 2015 | Peter Island, BVI
Richard
It is always a good idea to do a thorough visual inspection of your engine from time to time. If you keep your engine clean, leaks are easier to find. Chafe is always a problem on boats. And, of course, checking fluid levels and looking for things that just aren't right.

I started one... but I haven't finished it yet. I found a fuel hose that was starting to crack and leak. It was before the low pressure pump. If it started sucking air, we might find ourselves in big trouble.

I also noticed that the Alternator belt was wobbling excessively and oddly. This turned out to be a bigger problem than expected.
