Volleyball

Just before leaving Gorda Sound, a group of 6 young people arrived at the court. They played myself and 5 crew members from a cruise ship. It was a highly competitive 6x6 game, but they edged us out. Later as the cruise ship prepared to leave, we started playing 2x2. I quickly learned that I was out-classed. Then, I learned that 5 of the 6 just graduated college and played college volleyball. And, the 6th young person was a professional player.
In St Martin, we found 2 active beach volleyball courts in Simpsons bay and we found a 3rd one just North of the Airport Beach. The courts seemed well maintained and active every day with leisure games.
I was able to join in on this French family's game.
I also found a well maintained court in Antigua near Jolly harbor. Some locals were running bump, set and spike drills. I was able to join in on the defensive side of the net, returning spikes (or fetching the ball when I failed to manage the spike). It was great exercise, and felt good to help out the local team.
