Jolly Harbor

In contrast to St Martin, is Jolly Harbor in Antigua. When we arrived it was calm and quiet, like a suburban US neighborhood. We pulled the boat right up to the Customs and Immigration dock to check in with no problems. I love computerized check in. Easy peasy.
The building pictured above with the yellow flag is customs and immigration.
The anchorage near by, has been nothing but smooth. Jolly harbor has a strict 5mph speed limit which significantly reduces uncomfortable wakes.
The local marina provides several dinghy docks and has a Budget Marine, groceries, pharmacy, haul out yard, restaurants, other shops and a beach all within easy walking distance. They take EC (eastern Caribbean) dollars, but most will gladly convert your US dollars.
St John is the big city on the island. It is an inexpensive bus ride. The bus system is very convenient.
