Punta Mita

We are anchored in Punta Mita (just north of Puerto Vallarta) for one evening. Today's excitement was whale watching as we motored from Chacala Bay to Punta Mita. As we left Chacala I managed to get one great picture of a whale coming out of the water (see above) just off our starboard side. We saw whales all along our trip, some coming within 20 yards of our boat. Luckily the ones that were that close were not breaching, they were just hanging out along the surface. Kent and I are united in that it is great to see these creatures up close, we'd rather not have them TOO close to the boat.
Tomorrow we head for Bandaras Bay/Puerto Vallarta area.
