What a gorgeous destination. Kelefesia is a pretty remote portion of the already remote Ha'apai group. Stunning white beach with palm trees and rock bluffs. Plus beautiful surrounding reefs. Too bad it is rainy and dreary. We are the only boat here--same as last night. Not many boats are left in this area. Amy, Stephen & Rivers are being intrepid and heading to the beach for a look around in the rain. I already did my job of snorkeling the anchor, so I am sitting tight, writing this, and will do some reading. The perhaps some cards and dinner when they get back. Tomorrow morning we'll sail about 48 miles into Nuku'alofa harbor on Tongatapu--where we will meet our friend Tom who will be joining us for the passge to New Zealand when the weather looks good.

Top of an active underwater volcano about halfway between Terceira and Sao Miguel. Yes, Active. And there is no land in sight. We anchored in 100 feet of water. The dive was between 90 and 110 feet. With sheer drops to amazing depths all around.
