A couple of things:
1. Sorry about the format of Rivers' Poem. The line breaks did not come through on the post. 2. The picture is of Kelefesia. Our last remote island for a while. It was a beautiful, remote island in the Ha'apai group in Tonga. We met a few fisherman camping there, and the owner of the island--who received the island from the King of Tonga. We traded a few staples for some lovely lobster. 3. If all goes according to plan we will leave in the morning for New Zealand. We are sailing to Opua, so watch this page for daily position reports etc.

Top of an active underwater volcano about halfway between Terceira and Sao Miguel. Yes, Active. And there is no land in sight. We anchored in 100 feet of water. The dive was between 90 and 110 feet. With sheer drops to amazing depths all around.
