Good-bye New Zealand. We checked out and left at noon today (thursday June 6) local time. It is now 11 pm and we are at 34d07m S 174d 55m E. COG 11d Mag. SOG 8kts. We are heading to Savu Savu, Fiji via Minerva Reef if the weather cooperates. All is well. We caught a nice Albacore Tuna a few hours ago, and Amy made a bit of seared tuna to for dinner. Its still cold and wet, and we can't wait to get to warmer weather! Now that we are on the move again, we'll be posting daily during our passage.

Top of an active underwater volcano about halfway between Terceira and Sao Miguel. Yes, Active. And there is no land in sight. We anchored in 100 feet of water. The dive was between 90 and 110 feet. With sheer drops to amazing depths all around.
