I left Dowry Creek Marina after topping off the diesel. I crossed the Pamlico River and entered Goose Creek. As the day progressed, the wind began to build and the temperature began to fall, then it started to rain off and on.
By the time I entered Pamlico Sound, the wind had built to 30 knots with a steady cold rain. This made for a very rough 4 or 5 hours as I crossed the sound and entered the Neuse River. The waves let up somewhat after I entered Adams Creek but not the wind and rain.
By the time I reached Morehead City, I was very cold and wet and the sun was going down. I tied up for the night at the Morehead City Yacht Basin and turned on the heat!
