When it came time to leave Charleston, the weather was still too unstable for a comfortable trip off shore so we stayed inside and "did the ditch." We stopped at marinas in Georgetown and Myrtle Beach before anchoring for our last night of the trip at Carolina Beach, NC.
This time, the anchor held despite some pretty brisk winds and I felt like I redeemed myself somewhat. Here's a picture of the anchorage as the sun set.
