Since there were thunderstorms forcast for most of the day, starting around noon, I decided to stop at Fernandina Beach. I needed to get some laundry done and do some grocery shopping anyway so it made sense. Besides, I love Fernandina.

I arrived at the marina around noon and, sure enough, the storms showed up again. It rained off and on all afternoon and night. I did manage to get my laundry and shopping done. As I was crossing the St Johns River in Jacksonville, I noticed this warship in drydock and thought it was worth a photo.
