Mile Marker Zero

Well, yesterday I was up and gone at 0730 and I was rewarded with sighting DOLPHINS for the first time. Actually, I've seen them before just not from my own boat. It was really cool! They stayed about 30 yards away but kept pace with me for about five minutes or so before they went on.
I've heard that dolphins bring good luck and it was true for me yesterday. It was a beautiful warm day with good wind and I made all the way to Norfolk in about nine hours. I'm tucked into a marina in Portsmouth, waiting for a friend (Ken) from Racine, who's going to join me for part of the trip south.
Here's a picture of some rather impressive Naval assets that I passed on the way in.
