On The Road Again.....

Mike
Well, Wednesday morning, I took off and made it all the way to Georgetown, SC. Very scenic trip and I made it past the infamous "rock pile" without mishap, timing the tides and the bridges pretty well. The next day, I was up at 0630 and under way by 0700. It was a beautiful sunny day and I made it to Isle of Palms Marina b y mid-afternoon. Another very pretty area, with lots of multi-million dollar mansions to prove it.

This morning I slept in and left my marina at 1000 on a rising tide to make the 2 hour trip to Charleston. When I got here I was greeted by my friend Captain Buddy, his dog and some very playful dolphins.
Quite a welcome!

Captain Buddy is a tug boat captain and has offered to take me out on some jobs while I'm here. How cool is that? Anyway, I can already tell, I'm going to like Charleston.

Here's a pic of part of the welcoming committee
