Goodbye Beaufort

Well, with a very high and fast tidal current and the leftover winds from a passing cold front, my fellow marina mates and I made our plans to escape. I say escape because, depending on which direction you exit the Municpal Docks in Beaufort, its either like piloting your vessel up a waterfall or being shot out of a cannon. Neither is very easy on the nerves.
I'll just say all of my immediate acquaintances (myself included) managed to get out at what passes for slack tide in Beaufort without incident. I made it to Harbortown Yacht Basin in Hilton Head for my last South Carolina port of call. Georgia comes next.
