00 18.3700 S 028 30.0280 W Thursday 19th 21:30 UTC. Crossed the line 00 0.0000 N 028 20.7540 roughly mid day FI time today, cracked a bottle of bubbly and did the bucket of water over the head thing. 70nm today, not bad considering the wind is pretty much extinct.

01 22.3850 S 029 11.5720 W Friday 20th 22:00 UTC 78nm today, past a couple of 350 meter cargo ships heading north. 520 nautical miles to Recife.

02 22.1133 S 029 34.9305 W Saturday 20:00 UTC Head wind and Thunder Storm at the moment 460 nm to Recife.

02 50.4170 S 029 49.5740 W Sunday 13:00 UTC.
Wind! but at the moment just off the bow, so progress is still a little slow, but in a few hours the wind should be more favourable. Some large thunder storms to deal which cost quite a few cigarettes!

Hot!!

04 41.7860 N 027 45.1380 W Saturday 14th 21:00 UTC. Not making a lot of headway today, they had a current that was pushing them back 1.5 kts, but that seems to have disapeared now. Dylan said he was too hot today, he made a bit of a hole to lay down in the forepeak with a wet towel on his head, hatch open with the scoop setup.

Half way to the Equator

Fair

Away at last

08 March 2015 | Atlantic heading to Salvadore, Brazil
New Crew joined in Mindelo: Christopher Peck and Nataliya Lyubimova, but then Christopher had an accident getting onto Arombai at the Marina.

Christopher Peck: Gutted I couldn't make the trip it was a hard to say no, hopefully you have good weather all the way, my injuries are slightly crushed nerve endings, torn ligaments and lacerations to my ankle but we know it could have been lots worse, stay safe!

Then delayed waiting for the heat exchanger to be fixed and also the installation of the wind turbine.

Finally departed at 10:30 am on Thursday 5th March 2015

15-20 kts NE Winds looks like making 100 NM a Day, everything ok so far. Update for Friday 20:15 UTC.

Position: 13 19.0673 N 025 28.8830 W
