Guests Aboard!

After several weeks aboard without guests we were very happy to welcome our good friend Eben Strousse and our new friend Tim Williams aboard our Honeymoon. Er, I mean, aboard Honeymoon...

When Eben heard we were doing this trip he immediately reserved his bunk for the Galapagos. It seems like that was a long time ago, but the Galapagos arrived as quickly as a Blue Footed Boobie diving on its prey. And it was great to catch up with our now jobless friend who visibly had the time of his life here. The "Old Eben" came out in full force and the boat now feels empty without him here.

And Tim (who we shadily met on the internet) has for some reason decided that he wanted to join us for our 25 day Pacific Ocean crossing in the name of "fun." Although Tim is taller than me (he's 6'-5.5"), I have to try and like him as he is helping us sail our boat. And for that effort we are very grateful as we wanted a third person aboard to help split up the watches, help in the case of an emergency and act as a new diversion for Elizabeth and I to pay attention to in an otherwise empty sea. We met Tim via the Latitude38.com website, a local San Francisco sailing website, and I think that when this trip is over we will have yet another great friend to come back to in San Francisco. And as crew members go, he's already proven his worth by diving head first into the now well worn Village Marine Watermaker Instruction Manual (which he managed to fix!).

So please help me welcome Tim aboard and look for some of his posts on our site once we reach the Marquesas! Yikes!
