Butchart Gardens

Today was a "wish you were here" day. The kind of day you would love to share with family and friends. We travelled down Saanich Inlet near Sidney, BC in calm, sunny weather and anchored in a pretty spot in Tod Inlet. There were seals popping their heads up and eagles overhead.
The reason for stopping in Tod Inlet was to visit the famous Butchart Gardens. The display of spring flowers was magnificent, so much colour. There were tulips, daffodils, rhododenrons, camellias, magnolias, hyacinths, pansies, cinerarias, orchids and many others I don't know. The tulips came in every shade of the rainbow and were amazing.
The trees were another feature - all sizes up to the giant redwoods, some covered in blossom and others with beautiful coloured foliage.
Couldn't stop taking photos. Will upload Picasa album when I get some wifi.
