San Simeon Sunset
10 October 2015
Occasionally, after a long day of sailing, you feel something special! Sometimes it feels spiritual, other times it's just that sense of satisfaction that comes with the personal self mastery of sailing well.
So, when we dropped the anchor in San Simeon Bay (at the foot of the infamous Hearst Castle), it felt like any other other bay - at first. Then, I noticed how the swell of the waves sounded so special as they hit the beach. Then, during dinner, my mate Fred noticed the developing sunset and alerted the crew to take notice. Wow - this sunset was special indeed.
Hope you enjoy this small pic half as much as we enjoyed the real thing!!
Life is great aboard Huzzah.
