Morrow Bay to Catalina Island
11 October 2015
The plan was to sail from Morro Bay to Santa Rosa Island, about a 90 mile trip for a night at anchor. So, after a great sail with 20 kn of wind behind us, we arrived at Santa Rosa in 30+ knots of wind in a extremely dark Anchorage. Oh well, we always have a backup plan - head for open water and keep going! Nine hours later (of course the wind died), we pulled into Catalina Harbor.
But don't feel too sorry for the crew, as we live very well aboard. Thanks to our highly accomplished chief Fred. Not only can he stand watch with best, his culinary skills are world class. Last nights dinner was salmon fillets on pasta Alfredo......
