OFF LIKE A PROM DRESS

We just completed our second day at sea with another 170 miles under the keel! Huzzah is sailing well in the 12-15 knot winds, mostly beam/broad reaching with main & genoa at 7+ knots. The crew is getting into our daily rhythm of standing watch, eating, and sleeping whenever possible. Our voyage tally is now at 340 nm behind us, with thousands to go. Conditions are improving with steadier winds, and modest 3 to 4 foots waves. The sun is with us today, so we've given the hydro-generator the day off after keeping us whole for the last 24 hours. Our solar is currently producing more than we can use so life is good on the energy front. The SSB radio installed last Summer is working well, so we're participating in the PPJ net each morning. Boats are spread across the Pacific, so it's fun to hear from somebody far, far away. The most popular com tool however, is the Iridium GO! We use it to download weather files, keep in touch with our loved ones back home, and (of course), update our blogs. Note - this blog post title is a tribute to our friend and former sailing mate Stuart, who passed away while sailing his Olson 30 of the same name a few years' ago. He said he wanted to do the coconut milk run someday - I hope he's already there! Gerry
