Hanging out in Bradenton for Christmas

Well, we've been tied up at the Twin Dolphin Marina in Bradenton, Florida since December 18. Ralph's kids, Mary (16) and Trey (14) came for Christmas. We visited Mote Marine, and the South Florida Museum (where we saw Snooty, the oldest Manantee around, at 67), and the beach.

Hanging out in Gulfport, Florida.

Gulfport is a cool town. Kind of funky and eclectic. And, with a great dinghy dock. Lots of full time liveaboards here, and also a lot of boats just stopping in on their way to somewhere else.

Now, we're doing some basic maintenance and repairs on the boat, and getting ready to head back home for a week. When we get back, around January 15, we will be heading to Fort Myers and then sailing across to Key West.

Today, we are holed up inside. The sun is out, but a cold front has dropped the balmy temperatures we had been enjoying in to the 60s with a cutting north wind making it worse. Its been bard not to be lazy.

We're aching to be back sailing south again. Marina life is decadent, but it gets old fast!
