This from Linda:

A beautifully easy day from Maple Juice Cove to Rockland, wonderful and full of sun. These are the days that sailing is made for. The seas were calm and the wind was pretty light. We motor-sailed four hours to Rockland and tied up at the Town Landing.

Rik needed to walk up the Hamilton Marine and pick up some navigation software. We decided to stay on the dock overnight. The season hasn't really started here yet, and we when we tied up we were one of only two boats. So we got a 'dock' stay with all the amenities such as power and water, for the price of a mooring. Great people who work at the Town Landing. So, we're charging everything up and filling up our water and hosing down the boat. And of course, walking to town for provisions.

Things have different names when you're talking about a boat. Here are some examples:

Kitchen: galley
Bathroom: head
Bedroom: berth
Groceries: provisions
Couch: Settee

There was an absolutely beautiful full moon last night. Next time you have a chance, look at the full moon with binoculars! Awesome.

We were invited aboard the one other neighboring boat - Sea Glass - for snacks yesterday afternoon. It's fun to meet so many new people. That's the part I like about boating - the people.
