Fenlon Falls to Orillia Aug 12 - 14
19 August 2017
We left Fenlon Fall in time to get to Rosedale lock by 9 am and headed to Kirkfield lift lock and down stream through 6 more locks to Lake Simcoe and it's usual 3 ft + waves to Orillia for 3 days . It was the weekend of the boat show so the marina was pretty much full with boaters from all over , mostly Lake Simcoe , and then people passing through .We did the tour of all the booths on the board walk picking up all the freebees and checking out all the exhibits . Great to see so many boats , the most we have seen in one place this year . Afterwards we walked the business area mostly for exercise and hit the Metro for some necessities .
The next day we walked to where there was supposed to be a Cdn Tire and it was a gas bar so Home Hardware had to do !! Didn't have what I wanted ..... And then another walking tour of up town , which it is in Orillia !! We walked the booths again and after dinner we walked through Coochiching Park at listen to the music concert put on by a Markham Orchestra in the Rotary pavilion - Great entertainment !!
We did laundry early and went grocery shopping , had a late lunch and headed up town - Lori found a belt and a small dish for dipping sauce at a nearly new store , we went to the bank and back to the boat . After a late dinner we walked to the Metro and visited on the dock until the mosquitoes came out and retired for the evening .
