Eleuthera
03 March 2014 | Meeks Patch / Spanish Wells
First Mate
We say farewell to our Abaco-bound friends and head for Eleuthera. We are going to wait out the clockwise swing in the winds at the north end. First night is anchored outside a flat uninhabited piece of land, Meeks Patch. A nice quiet night, but we can see what is coming so decide to go into the marina at Spanish Wells. I love this quaint place with all the homes painted different colors. So pretty! We met a new group of sailors, again Canadians. I think there are four people left in Canada, the rest are here in Bahamas!
