We caught a tuna - hooray! Not sure the variety - maybe Giant Tuna (common in these parts) or else blue (it does have quite a bit of blue on it). Anyway, looks yum and it provided us with quite a bit of entertainment along the way. We've been having a great passage and covering some good miles. Beautiful downwind sailing with a following sea. Nathan recorded 14.8 knots surfing down a wave - wahoo! Wind is softening a bit now though and is predicted to drop some more. Currently about 18 knots. Paige has been a champion ocean sailor again. She has written a short song about this passage. It is called "Time for Fiji :-)" and goes as follows: "Sailing, sailing, going to Fiji. Blue seas and sunny skies." By Paige. For those who were lucky enough to hear the song from the trip up from NZ, there's quite a contrast. That song was based on the sounds a yacht makes in big seas and big breeze.
