Happy Summer Solstice!

High 80s, mostly sunny
Thursday, June 21 – Philadelphia, PA
This morning was wet but soon cleared to be a pretty day. Bill and I finished removing the decking and nails from the porch structure. We filled the truck, strapped it down, and headed for the dump. It is always an adventure at the dump! With all of the demolition and construction we have done with Kim and our own house over the years, we have been to many dumps and each has its own “personality.” This one is average – not one of my favorites. With an empty truck we headed to the grocery store, picked up food for dinner, and planned to get some hoagies for lunch But, the truck wouldn’t start! Uber to the rescue – we got the groceries home and unpacked and then Bill went out to get the hoagies. We were starving by then! After lunch I finished painting the molding around the kitchen windows (see photo – nice view, huh?) and Bill installed a ceiling fan in the nursery. Kim and Darren arrived and Bill and Darren went to check on the truck and it started! We had dinner, Darren watched the NBA draft, and Kim and I watched Wonder – a nice movie we hadn’t seen. Bill went to bed early…
