Taking a Break...

Hot and humid, then rain so it cooled off

Bill started the engine and Jeanne and I wandered out of our cabins. What a way to wake up! He had made breakfast sandwiches for us all and we ate as we moved away from the dock and out of Annapolis Harbor. The sails were up before we hit the first channel marker and we sailed all the way back to Rock Hall. The wind calmed and piped back up a few times, but overall it was a great sail. Once back at the dock we packed up and said Farewell to our guests. I emptied the fridge and icemaker and cleaned kitchen and bathroom. We got it all in the car and headed out, stopping for corn, beer, and crabs for Kim’s birthday dinner. We leave tomorrow for four weeks in Florida and will miss her birthday, so this was the night! Storms came through as we drove, but they didn’t cause any problems. The siding guys had made some progress, and I walked with Kim and Darren all the way around their property to check on the fencing posts that had been installed. That job is going much faster than the siding! After dinner Kim and I “detagged” and sorted baby clothes so they can be washed and ready for the baby. Kim saw the doctor yesterday and all is good. Since we will be in Florida for four weeks, I am going to stop posting entries on this blog until we return to the boat. So check in around August 16!
