Visiting the Palm Springs Air Museum

Erick and Arliss both had to work, so Bill and I headed to the Palm Springs Air Museum. What a huge place! They had over 49 military planes from both World Wars, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War in four hangars. Displays were everywhere and some were videos, some to be read, and others to listen to. All were very well done. Many veterans volunteer to do the work and act as docents. Bill had a great time checking out all of the planes. The photo shows the Corsair that he had made a model of when he was young. He knows all of the names of the different types of war planes - I'm not sure how but he learned them somewhere!
When we left it was time to find lunch and we went to a Southeast Asian restaurant. We spread out the map while we waited for food and made some tentative plans for the next week or so. Sometimes it is tough to be flexible - there are many places to see and lots of decisions to make!
Back at the house we relaxed and visited and then went to a "Swizzler," which is a gathering of neighbors in this area at one of the homes. They have these weekly! The finger food was delicious and wine flowed freely. People were very friendly and we had many great conversations. We headed home for one more glass of wine and then time for bed!
