About: |
Jeff began his sailing career at the ripe old age of 8. He spent those early years on Lake Michigan sailing with his dad and brothers. [...]Later, Jeff developed a disabled sailing program for the Chicago Parks District where he and his staff brought the joy and freedom of sailing to those who had significant physical challenges. Jeff introduced Michelle to windsurfing in 2003 and she was immediately bitten by the love of the water and the wind. In 2012, they bought their first boat, a Catalina 25, named Laughing Girl. They honed their sailing skills together in the extreme winds of the Columbia River Gorge. In 2014, they started looking for their "forever boat". They found her in the summer of 2014 but didn't know she was "the one" until after looking at several other boats. In Feb 2015, they flew to Maryland to inspect the boat, and purchased her in April 2015. They completed some cosmetic work, changed her name, and had her shipped to Portland.
