Seasick Matron and The One That Got Away
12 December 2018 | Tyrell Bay - Carriacou
Up at 5.30 am
Sort out running back stays.
Tea for Mandy at 5.50 as Matron says she was so good looking after me when I was poorly.
Cast off mooring and we are away as Matron appears (Mandy is not a morning person!
We have a six hour trip ahead to Carriacou.
As we leave the northern tip of Grenada the fishing rod whines briefly.
I run to it, but too late.
The bloody fish had taken my brand new Australian fishing lure and bitten right though the line.
They do a lot of sports fishing around here for Marlin.
Last year we caught a massive sailfish with Eddie but had to cut it free because it was too big to land.
We then had a very bumpy wet crossing to Carriacou and Matron was very pale and almost sick!
We arrived at lunch time and anchored near Brisa.
Health is much better thanks to Matron.
