Methoni

Having set off at 8am, we arrived at Methoni at 3:15pm making this our longest passage so far. But time flies by when you're enjoying yourself, and we had several events along the way to keep us entertained.
The first was another holding tank unblocking procedure, which we are now fairly expert in (I say 'we', but the underwater part is Jonathan's department; I stick to the mechanics onboard!). Anyway, an early morning dip for J :-)
Next, an hour or so later i was quickly called on deck to witness some Dolphins just ahead of us - amazing creatures, see previous blog.
Other events included our weekly English breakfast of eggs and bacon (we always seem to miss having this on Sundays), boat school on the bow (why not!), free sailing (no engine for a change), plenty reading (see other previous blog) and lots of admiring of the changing landscapes.
Methoni is a magical spot. Great shelter, good anchorage, and beautiful surroundings (thanks GW for the tip!). We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the waters around us (all of us), scrubbing decks (the children), inspecting the anchor chain several times (children again). We look forward to exploring ashore in the morning.
