Didn't know INTERLUDE was an Ice Breaker!

Cathie/Cold
Hi All!
After a very cold night, we got up to everything being frozen. We headed out of Belhaven, NC and things looked like they would improve. The ice was less and was getting better. As we made our turn on the Pogo River things got bad quickly. The ice got thicker and thicker. After about five miles it was clear that we couldn't go any further, so we went into Dowry Creek Marina for the night.
We had a very nice evening with Mary the owner of Dowry Creek and the live aboards who stay there. They have a lovely building that has couches, TV, bar, tables, etc. We all brought a dish and enjoyed ringing in the New Year! We could't make it to 12 midnight...but did make it to 10:30!!! Had a great time. Would definitely recommend this marina and will use it next time we are down that way.
Hope all is well with you and yours. Thanks for stopping by.
