Hi All!
We are now near Savannah at Isle of Hope. We are heading today to Beaufort, SC. We will probably anchor out in Factory Creek. The following day we should be in my favorite city, Charleston. We will stay at the Charleston Maritime Center for a couple of days. We will be there just in time for my trifecta!...Mother's Day, Wedding Anniversary and my Birthday!...difficult for Tom...great for me!
We have had very nice days to cruise the waterway. In Georgia there are shallow spots that you have to be careful of...but all and all it's a nice ride through the the grasses that glow gold with the sun and all the birds and dolphins to watch.
We had dinner last night with Richard and Diane/AVA RYAN at a local mexican restaurant. It was very good. Then we went to the pharmacy and grocery store for supplies and then back to the boat to wind down and get to bed early.
This morning Diane had to go to the dentist for a crown issue and I did a load of clothes. Hopefully we will be off the dock around 10 a.m. We like high tide so that we can get through the rivers without hitting the bottom but we like low tide so that our mast can make it through the fixed bridges. It makes for interesting navigation!
Today we will be in South Carolina which makes us feel so much closer to home.
Hope all is well with you and yours. Thanks for stopping by!
