It appears that the weather gods don't want to cooperate, so it looks like we will head offshore Thursday vs tomorrow. It is so great to have the luxury of time, otherwise we would go. The forecast is 15-20kts with 20-22 kt gusts during the night hours, but that often turns into 25-30 kts for some reason. You can do it if you have to - we prefer not when we can avoid it. Our goal is to be in the Chesapeake for most of the month of June then New York/Long island/Marthas Vinyard/Cape Cod for July, crossing back over, perhaps from Maine, to Nova Scotia in early August.
We rented a car and took a run out to Jekyll Island - Bob doing the Chamber of Commerce advertising pose above - and then a run up to Savannah yesterday. Tomorrow we may take another road trip to our St. Augustine.

We visited the Butterfly Garden which is part of the Natural Museum within the University of Florida (home of the Gators!), in Gainesville. Hundreds of butterflies are housed in a vivarium (huge enclosed space with sun & air moving through special screens & gorgeous gardens with streams/waterfalls flowing through). If you sit still they land on you to rest & make you feel wonderful. Most peaceful experience ever!!
