Finally Moving Again

Today, after waiting six nights in Prince Rupert, there seem to be several days that are going to be good for moving south. Today's trip was 12 hours and 76 miles. It was a long day but worth it to get some good distance in. Zube, with Ron and Jackie aboard, who I met in Prince Rupert, left also and we're anchored in Coglan anchorage, which is conveniently located but not the best anchorage because it's not well protected. But it'll do. The wind blew from the NW all day, sometimes up to 25 knots, but I kept the engine running to keep my speed up, given the long distance.
Tomorrow's trip, at 60 miles, won't be quite as long as today's. NW wind is more consistent further south, so I want to put lots of miles under the keel while I can.
Today was mostly sunny, and the air is definitely warmer than chilly Alaska.
