at anchor
23 April 2013 | Ferragudo
hot
Rob and I decide we’d have a row ashore and have a look round Ferragudo and see if I can remember where all the little shops are, we also walked to one of the boat yards to enquire pricing for winter deals, Raven has to come out of the water and we have few jobs still to do. We now know there are 3 boat yards, two are cheap and one is more expensive, guess which one we looked at... Will email them nearer the time, just needed to know if they could lift out 22 tonne of boat!
Found the fruit, veg and fish market, the grocers and the bread shop. The lady in the bread shop remembered me from when I went in with Andy.
We try to use what Portuguese we do know out, and have found that it is appreciated, however we find it very funny that the reply comes back in English, the lady in the bread shop lets us know how to pronounced things, I know if we have done it right as she claps and grins.
We did have a bit of a lumpy night, but coming from the Orwell river, nothing too bad, although YOU KNOW when the fishing fleet go out !
