Stowe GPS Repeater

06 June 2006 | Badalona Marina
Tom
Iris is equiped with wind, speed and depth instruments of the "Dataline" series made by Stowe / Robertson. All sensors input into a central databox, which communicates the information over a single NMEA bus, on which all displays are connected in series.
On eBay I found a GPS repeater of that same series, which I hooked up to the Dataline bus in the cockpit. I connected the NMEA output of my Valsat 2008 GPS receiver to the RNAV input on the databox.
However, this setup doesn't seem to work. The repeater is awake but doesn't seem to receive the necessary GPS NMEA phrases. The display says "Pos Seek". Anyone can shed a light on this? I don't have a user manual of the repeater, nor of the dataline databox. Could anyone tell me how to wire it correctly?
Update 19/06/2006: I haven't yet been able to get the unit hooked up corectly. However I got my hands on the databox manual and also the manual for this Stowe GPS Display. I got the latter from Alan Williams from AWMarine, who still service the older Stowe and Robertson equipment. With this manual I hope to get things working soon.
