We arrived here last Friday morning after yet another 10 miles motoring. Spent Friday and Saturday on terraces and beaches. We are breaking all beer drinking records.
This morning we wanted to continue northwards, but after an hour struggling against 25 knot wind directly in front of us, we desisted. Iris hardly managed 1,5 knots of speed, so we decided to return to port. Our previous berth was already taken and apparently the marina was full. They put us on a temporary berth and we had to stay on board until they would move us. After several hours baking in the sun we got permission to go for lunch, which we had a a local indian restaurant. After lunch a berth had become available and since the hard northerly wind was still blowing, we decided to take it and stay another night. At 25 euros a night, Villajoyosa is not too expensive.
