Back in 1970, I was a newlywed and learned to sail in Newport Beach, CA with my husband. We loved it and came very close to buying an old Chinese Junk for $2,500. Back then, it may as well have been $250,000; we couldn't afford it. [...] Our hopes of living aboard went wayward with the wind, as did the marriage a few years later. Luckily, my dream to become a liveaboard didn't die. It just took me a little while to achieve it. I received my Charter Captain's certification and am ready to learn all I can.
