We ended up leaving Salinas much later in the day than intended and were greeted with 25 knot headwinds once we were out of the protection of the lagoon. A journey of 5 miles took 2 hours! Now anchored in the mangroves and will move on early tomorrow. This is not an anchorage to recommend, there's a huge power station looming over us!
