Back to Soper's Hole

10 March 2008
March 10
We are now back in Sopher's Hole BVI Lat 18 23.21N Lon 064 42.11W. We left Caneel Bay and under the advice of Irene and Andy on Aphrodite II we headed to Maho Bay. What a great place. The anchorage is well protected and the beach is great. There is a restaurant that Irene said has great prime rib on Friday nights. We will have to try it next time. They have a small store where you can get the basics. And lots of tourist in bathing suits on the beach, some even worth looking at. Anyway, very scenic and a great place to hang out. We meet the Bay hosts on Tranquila and again as Irene and Andy said they are very nice people. Also, the boat Magic came in with Dave and Donna. They are friends of Jim and Amanda on Adventure Bound (boat we traveled with last year). We have been listening to them on the "Net" working their way down the same path "down island" that we took last year. They finally caught up and we got to meet them. They are buddy boating with Shannon, Kathy, Caroline and Violet on Some Day Came. Caroline is 10 years old so we plan to meet back up with them in a few days so Cate and her can meet each other. Shame we are not heading down island this year as I know the two of them would become good friends. But as life on a boat goes, I know we will see them some where down the road. Anyway, we spent 2 great relaxing days in Maho Bay without Cate. We have been checking with Irene on the VHF radio each day and she says Cate is being good and not driving her crazy. I am sure the time away from us has been good for all of us. Kim has a Doctors appointment tomorrow in Roadtown that being the reason we are here so after her appointment we plan to head back to Red Hook to get Cate. Then back to Maho for a few days before I have to be in Roadtown and start work.
