Two sweet clowns in the main parade

February was also colder and more rainy than usual. It was a month of indoor working and winter sports on Eurosport, interrupted by long walks. The evenings were mostly spent with good food and drinks, sometimes together with friends, on board Temerity or on other yachts.
The major event in Las Palmas in February is of course the Carnival which is celebrated for more than two weeks with parades, shows, parties and fireworks, before it ends with the funeral parade and burial of the sardine. This ceremony marks that the party is over, and normal life has to go on. The main event, though, is the big parade where all people, young and old, are out watching if they are not participating.
