Ode to Old Age

We made it back in time to do a little work on a project we have going in the back yard: a retaining wall. We have bought 4 palettes of bricks and we are about to lay them. We've hired a young man who is a very good worker and he has been ever so helpful. Today I (Jay) went to the ophthalmologist's office [...]

Out for a couple of weeks

In late June, Anita’s shoulder and my eye healed sufficiently to make a little journey on Karina C.

Punta Chivato

Resort that has a shady look to it. All it has there is an airport. Hmmmmm
Up early today at 0545. We got underway shortly after 0600 after putting a few drops of oil into Bart (engine). He had been heading a little on the low side for a week now, so it was good to lay a few fresh drops into him.
Beautiful sunrise. We are beginning to take that for granted around here. Warm 16C at sunrise. We are motoring for Punta Chivato where we will check out the resort. They are advertised to have a pool. Maybe wifi too? One can only hope.
We did have the sail up for a bit this morning. Presently, we are motoring in almost calm conditions and are about 1 hour out of Punta Chivato.
PC- We had a nice stay here in PC. Quiet evening. Good shelling beach. We walked the beach this afternoon and really enjoyed our stay here. The resort seems to be a front money laundering. The employees are nice. 2x the employees to guest ratio. The unheated pool is USD $35 per guest. Needless to say, we passed on that. The ocean is getting up to temperature for swimming.
