Out for a couple of weeks
In late June, Anita’s shoulder and my eye healed sufficiently to make a little journey on Karina C.

We were up at a decent time the next morning and got the outgoing tide to head S. We were paddling into deteriorating weather and we ran into a bit of rain. We decided to end our trip the next day instead of taking an extra day and getting things all wet. The picture is of us paddling S getting ready to head into Houston Channel from Pylades. The buildings you see in the picture are from the abandoned reserve on Shingle Spit. Notice the sky is overcast. We soon ran into rain. Fortunately, I had on my fleece that gave good warmth and kept me pretty dry.
