Today saw us awake and prepared to leave home again at 4:30 am for another trip to Jabulani. We arrived on site after breakfast at about 7:30 am, launched the dinghy and headed out to our secluded mooring. Philip got straight to work on the self-steering and found it needed a little more engineering attention to be able to work correctly. The kids and I were down below stowing the extra things we'd brought down for the upcoming cruise. Philip then bent on the mainsail with a new technique that seemed to work very well for other gaff rigged boats" let's hope for the best. Then we had a wonderful surprise visit from the owners of a neighboring double Polynesian canoe, Morning Star. Richard, Anjali and their daughter Ariana came aboard to have a look around on deck and below. It was great to have them with us and, of course, it is always a pleasure to show off our pride and joy. We thoroughly enjoyed having them over and sharing our dream with them. We made a few sandwiches for lunch and dinghied over to the pool to continue spending time with our new friends while relaxing there. While the kids napped we motored out to Daffodil Island, as we wanted to run the engine for a good stretch to ready her for the upcoming trip. Philip took a swim overboard to check the propeller and bottom as well as clean off the bottom of the dinghy, while we were anchored with only 2.8 feet of water under our keel. We headed back in to the mooring to clean up, pack up and get going back home again.
