Isolation at its finest...
24 April 2008 | Island Head Creek, Queensland
Jays parents had told us about Island Head Creek, it's an anchorage with an entrance that is hidden as you approach it from the South. It was amazing to watch what looked like a mass of rocks open up as we approached to reveal the entrance. Surrounded by mountains the bay was alive with fish and turtles and apart from a tri-maran and a speed boat, we were alone.
The boys had great fun catching and releasing different species of fish but unfortunately there was not as much luck with the crab pot. We only stayed here overnight so after a little bit of exploring, a good feed and a good nights sleep we set off at about 10am for Hunter Island.
