‘Survivor’ was filmed here!

11 December 2008 | Ko Rok Noi, Thailand
That is the claim to fame for Ko Rok Nok & Ko Rok Nai, it was the French version of ‘Survivor’ and as we have heard of the American version of ‘Survivor’ they have left remnants of their set floating around the island. It looks like the whole thing is a crock for ratings anyway, what was left on this island had electricity hooked up to it along with porcelain toilets and hand basins! Jay and I went for a walk along the beach here and found a huge camping ground where we got to talking to an American and an Australian doing a gap tour, they were camping and said that the facilities were great. We thought that the island was deserted but I suppose we are going to come across this everywhere we go now.

We went for a snorkel near Ko Roknoy and it was nice to finally see some stuff in the water but unfortunately in a lot of areas illegal dynamite fishing has been occurring which has ruined the coral.
