Tango's Equator Crossing
At 1230 local time today (1830Z) Tango crossed the Equator at 125-42.618W. With Paul, a Pollywog, aboard we conducted the appropriate rituals for Posideon including sharing a glass of bubbly and some of Janet's freshly baked brownies. Paul's request to Posideon was:
Ole mighty Neptune, king and lord of the sea, Behold you newest Pollywog, they call me PJB. I come this way as so many others Seeking adventures without their mothers. Bestow your wisdom and guiding hand as we travel to Nuku Hiva land. And blow your breath to freshen the wind, So we have no delays to spend. And if I pass this way again, I'll raise a glass as a Shellback then...
Outstanding Paul! Congratulations. In celebration we also set a message adrift in our empty wine bottle.
All continues to be fine aboard Tango. We hope for fresh winds for our 1000NM sail into Nuku Hiva.
John, Janet, and Shellback Paul
