A lazy start today, depart Gaios at 10am, no wind, blue skies, sea as flat as a pancake. No good for sailing but after all of the excitement on this trip, a motor back to Corfu with the autopilot steering and some Pink Floyd playing through the cockpit speakers whilst eating a full English breakfast in the morning and red Thai curry for lunch couldn't be all that bad. We made excellent progress today, averaging 6 knots all the way back. This is quite fast for Quasar IV and I suspect was as a result of the hull being jet-washed at Cleopatra Marina and Mark's excellent work on polishing the propeller :-) No incidents on route, four massive cruise ships tied up in the port (please just go somewhere else next time!) and, before we knew it, tied up again on our permanent mooring in Gouvia Marina. Despite a few exciting moments, this will be a memorable trip. New places discovered, stunning scenery, great company everywhere we went, fantastic Greek food, wine and hospitality. I'd better get back home now and start planning the next trip, hopefully in mid-June to catch up with old friends in Meganisi. Now, time to catch up on unanswered emails, pay bills, fix the broken bits on the boat....
