A short trip today

After a day off from all of the recent socialising, we decided to leave the anchorage today and head over to the neighbouring island of Meganissi. There was no wind but this was actually not a problem as we needed to give our batteries a good charge to keep the fridge running! We have solar panels but not quite enough so after about 4 days we need to run the engine for a good three hours to top the batteries up. So, we are now tied up on the town quay in Vathi on the island of Meganissi. On arrival, there was no room but just as we were turning to leave, a boat left and we got a space. Very lucky! It's a very popular spot. A spot of food shopping, a coffee, then a rest back on the boat to get out of the very hot sun. We decided to eat out tonight and each had a perfectly cooked swordfish steak with fries and lettuce after a swift pre-dinner beverage in the Odyseas Yacht Club. Vathi is very colourful with many flowers and well worth a visit. Arrive early!
