Not many marinas have 100' depth, and an occasional humpback whale coming through! We plan to be here a few days re- provisioning, going to the chandlery, filling the water tanks, walking the docks, and meeting old and new friends. It rained all day today, so having a travel day was a good thing, although enjoyment was harder to come by. We did see 5 humpbacks, and lots of birds: Merganzers, Harlequin Ducks, dusky Canada Geese and a Day Care of 30 goslings, and hundreds of Marbled Murrelets. At one point close to Juneau we saw 25 boats coming toward us, then noticed they were whale-watching boats. They passed us, then in front of us two humpbacks passed leisurely by us :)
